ST NECTARIOS FUNDRAISER
For the Beauty of His House
During the Dismissal Prayer, the Priest implores God to:
“Sanctify those who love the beauty of His house and to glorify them in return by His Divine power.”
These beautiful words remind us of our shared responsibility to care for the House of God and to preserve it with love and reverence as the spiritual home of our community.
With this in mind, Fr. Christodoulos, the Trustees, the Committee and myself are inviting our faithful to support a number of necessary improvements and purchases for St Nectarios Greek Orthodox Church.
What We Hope to Provide
At the heart of our plans is the renovation and refurbishment of our Church Hall and kitchen, creating a welcoming and practical space where our community can come together for gatherings, celebrations, fellowship and parish events.
Our Church Hall plays an important part in the life of our community, bringing our faithful together beyond our worship and providing a place where we can share in the fellowship and life of our Church.
We hope to provide a new and fully functional kitchen and to renovate and refurnish the Hall, creating a warm and welcoming environment that can better serve the needs of our parish and community for many years to come.
200 new chairs for the Nave, £65 each
These will be purchased as funds become available.
Rugs for the Church, approximately £200 - £250 each
We hope to purchase around 12 rugs to help keep the Church and our faithful warm during the winter months.
Our Church has also already purchased Holy Vestments for the Sanctuary, two Tabernacles for the Holy Altar Table and other religious items, at a total cost of approximately £8,000.
Our Church, Our Spiritual Home
Our Church is the House of God and the spiritual home of our community. Its care and preservation are a responsibility that we all share.
We kindly ask those who are able to support this endeavour. Every contribution, whatever the amount, will help us care for and beautify our Church and provide what is needed for the benefit of our whole community.
With your generosity and, God willing, we hope to complete these much-needed improvements and continue to care for our beloved Church for generations to come.
When purchasing a souvlaki, please consider making an additional donation to support our church. Every contribution is greatly appreciated. Thank you for your generosity!
May God bless you and your families for your love and support of His Holy Church.
Fr. Methodios
